In process…

My daily painting is in the midst of change — not surprising in this moment of unprecedented change for the whole world. Our family has moved in with us so we can share childcare while everyone is working from home. Our goofball grandkids are an unexpected silver lining to everything else that is going on. The upshot is that I have much less time in the studio. It will push me to experiment. And for the moment, in lieu of alla prima work where I need to finish in a day, I am working on a larger painting (not that large: 13″ x 15″) that I will add layers to as it dries. A good time to post process photos. In this case, I’m mostly adjusting color each day. Reds are hard…

Day 1, Block in • Oil on Panel, 13′ x 15″
Day 2 • Oil on panel, 13″ x 15″
Day 3 • Oil on panel, 13″ x 15″
Day 4 • Oil on panel, 13″ x 15″
